Web Developing

In addition to writing about technology, I develop web sites both for clients and my own startup projects.

I primarily work with open technologies like HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, Perl, PHP, and MYSQL for development. For clients and projects who benefit from a CMS, I most frequently build on WordPress, either in its off-the-shelf form or modified and customized as needed.

My development experience runs through the whole LAMP stack, including system administration with Linux, Apache, mail and other servers, as well as system setup, configuration, and maintenance. I tolerate shared hosting environments but strongly prefer VPS platforms.
